Born U.K. Arrived in Australia in 1971.
For over 25 years Anne has been collaborating with Wendy Sharpe, Garry Shead and Bernard Ollis and the late Alan Peascod on editions of their etchings.
She has been an exhibiting member of the Sydney Printmakers since 1984.
Smith has been a finalist in the BLAKE PRIZE exhibition and the PORTIA GEACH MEMORIAL exhibition.

Anne Smith worked in Materials Science in industry (as Section Leader of the Physics and Computing Laboratory) and she trained in Electron Microscopy at Sydney University, continuing to work there, using the electron microscopes in the EM Unit for applied research.

Her initial studies were Industrial Science, before studying Fine Art at Sunderland College of Art and Design in the UK. Smith worked in the research laboratories at The Laboratory of The Government Chemist before coming to Australia.
Anne Smith began etching at the 'Tin Sheds' at Sydney University, going on to set up and etching workshop in Sydney in 1983, then moving to the mountains in 1987 and opening Falls Gallery with her husband, potter Ian Smith.
Since 1998 Anne Smith has been collaborating with Wendy Sharpe, Garry Shead, Bernard Ollis and Alan Peascod on series of their etchings.

1983 set up her etching studio in Sydney. 1987 moved to Wentworth Falls in the Blue mountains and set up the Falls Gallery Editions etching studio, 1989 opened Falls Gallery.
